I’m especially interested in how design can amplify marginalized voices, challenge dominant narratives, and transform complexity into something emotionally tangible.

About Me

My name is Alina Bertacca. I am an interdisciplinary designer and art director based in Cologne, Germany. With a background in film and motion design, I create work defined by a strong visual language and a clear narrative approach.

I focus on gender-conscious design across a wide range of formats. From visual identity and editorial design to exhibition, motion, interaction, and AI-based media design. My work is grounded in a deep interest in how design shapes cultural narratives and power structures.

I often take on the role of creative director, leading collaborative, cross-disciplinary projects through a feminist, intersectional lens. My goal is to challenge visual norms, expose structural bias, and develop more critical and intentional design strategies in digital and physical spaces.
